Why Bill Hader deserves the Emmy: An attempt at being unbiased

I have no doubt that all of the nominees are talented and deserving of the Emmy honor in one way or another. The four Modern Family nominees are on a perennially-Emmy winning show and are very talented, popular actors. Max Greenfield is also a very talented and committed actor who has finally found success on the first season of the hit show New Girl. Bill Hader, however, is not only a talented actor, but he also shows versatility in his performance on Saturday Night Live by taking on several roles each episode. He performs at a high level, live, each Saturday night and has garnered a great deal of critical acclaim for his performances. 

As of right now, he might not be the most widely-known nominee, but the fact that he was nominated shows that his star is rising and he is getting noticed for his consistently funny work. While it is not necessary for an actor to perform as more than one character to achieve an Emmy win, the ability to show versatility in individual performances is indicative of the overall ability of an actor to create believability within various roles. Bill Hader is a chameleon and can take on any kind of role. He does his job very well, is consistent, and deserves to win this award.
